An index for quantifying geometric point disorder in geospatial applications

چکیده

Many techniques have been developed to quantify different conceptualizations of self-interaction and patterns within spatial data. We propose a new metric related algorithm that describes the geometric disorder geographic point sets, “Index Disorder” (IoD). The IoD was applied synthetic natural datasets shown be able differentiate between areas high (randomly placed points) low (e.g., curvilinear grids, wallpaper groups, other repeating patterns). Because is quantitative metric, it can used on its own as an aid for identifying unusually or enrichment machine learning classification algorithms. • locational structure in data additional dimension analysis. Anthropogenic structures are ordered compared organically occurring structures. Index Disorder (IoD) quantifies this so-called disorder. anthrophonic naturally any arbitrary set points quantified by comparing relative positions point's neighbors neighbors' neighbors.

The second geometric-arithmetic index for trees and unicyclic graphs

Let $G$ be a finite and simple graph with edge set $E(G)$. The second geometric-arithmetic index is defined as $GA_2(G)=sum_{uvin E(G)}frac{2sqrt{n_un_v}}{n_u+n_v}$, where $n_u$ denotes the number of vertices in $G$ lying closer to $u$ than to $v$. In this paper we find a sharp upper bound for $GA_2(T)$, where $T$ is tree, in terms of the order and maximum degree o...

an Interoperable Portal supporting Prototyping Geospatial applications

Earth observations and simulation results can be integrated with decision-support tools to support geospatial applications of national and international interest. Traditional methods of application development through tightly coupled components can no longer satisfy increased demands and urgently needed geospatial applications, such as disaster management. We examine the life cycle of such inte...

Object Interoperability for Geospatial Applications

In this paper, we analyze a geospatial application for visualizing U.S. election results in order to show the problems that need to be solved in the mapping between different XML representations and their conceptual models. We propose a framework that provides a number of core classes that allow applications to treat XML documents as graphs and to evaluate XPath expressions against such documen...

Voxelization algorithms for geospatial applications

Voxel representations have been used for years in scientific computation and medical imaging. The main focus of our research is to provide easy access to methods for making large-scale voxel models of built environment for environmental modelling studies while ensuring they are spatially correct, meaning they correctly represent topological and semantic relations among objects. In this article,...
